Despite the dreary weather, Commencement 2013 on Sunday, May 19, was a festive occasion. Featured speaker and honorary degree recipient Carlton Douglas Ridenhour 鈥�84, 鈥�13 (Hon.) (better known as Chuck D ()of ) energized the crowd with a passionate oration in which he lauded the graduates for their accomplishments and claimed that they 鈥済ot the real swagger.鈥� President Robert A. Scott, Ph.D., encouraged members of the Class of 2013 to continue being the 鈥渁uthors of your life鈥evising and improving your script even as you live it.鈥�
