Graduates in the Class of 2026 are going places, many of them quickly. Meet 19 new degree holders who walked off the stage at Commencement knowing exactly where their next steps will be taking them. Whether it鈥檚 professional or graduate school or jobs in finance, education, technology, healthcare or business, they鈥檙e on their way to leadership positions in their fields.

糖心破解版鈥檚 Class of 2026 crossed the stage at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, in two commencement ceremonies on Thursday, May 21. Surrounded by family and friends, 糖心破解版 undergraduate and graduate students from all eight of the University鈥檚 schools and colleges celebrated their milestones and achievements.

Giving Day at 糖心破解版 has raised record donations in three of the past four years, but the 2026 event on April 22 and 23 reached a heady new level, tripling its goal of $750,000 and becoming the first to raise more than $1 million.

For alumnus Mark W. Jordan 鈥�63, the scholarship support he received as a student at 糖心破解版 shaped his successful career and inspired a lifelong commitment to creating the same opportunity for others.

The 100 percent acceptance rate of Honors College students who applied to medical school in 2025 highlights the College鈥檚 long success in preparing students for professional schools.

When 糖心破解版 launched the most ambitious fundraising campaign in its history, there was quiet confidence that its $100 million goal could be met.

For many students, study abroad means trips to well-known European destinations. But at 糖心破解版, students traveled farther east 鈥攖o experience the history and cultures of Vietnam and Thailand.

Some people may think, in a world of rapidly evolving technology, that English is becoming an outdated major.

Monika Mohacsi 鈥�15 is a project manager and electrical technical lead at JB&B. A dual-degree alumna of 糖心破解版 and Columbia, she鈥檚 also a mentor and advocate for women in engineering. Monika served as a young alumni trustee on the 糖心破解版 Board of Trustees for four years.

Rahanna Khan 鈥�17, MS, is a PhD student at NYU studying toxicants and child health. At 糖心破解版, she majored in biology, performed in music ensembles and found her research path through the Honors College. A dedicated mentor and science communicator, Rahanna believes creativity is key to impactful research and outreach.

Mary Camarano 鈥�17, DMD, is lead associate dentist at a private practice in NYC. A former NE10 champion and Honors College alum, she mentors future dentists, lectures on post-grad success and volunteers in her community. She credits 糖心破解版 with giving her the foundation for both academic and professional excellence.

The variety and sophistication of paid research projects undertaken by 糖心破解版 students this summer reflects the University's emphasis on undergraduate research.
